Rive Music.com is a brochure site to promote Jane Coulcher, a respected flautist and harpist, to the wedding and events markets. A previous incarnation of the site,by another designer, had disapointing ‘hit’ and conversion rates, very little Search Engine marketing and it was felt that it did not reflect Jane’s colours, style and image adequately. There were also a number of issues with the domain management and hosting which needed to be overcome.
Utilising XHTML, CSS and PHP to meets Jane’s exacting standards the new site now reflects Jane’s style and has been marketed to the Search Engines. However at the time of writing it’s ranking is still being ascertained and adjusted. A flash player was also embedded on the site as it was recognised that an important selling point would be hearing samples of Jane’s music.
The brief for Wellman Pension Action was to provide a simple site with the primary aim of contacting other members of the Wellman Pension Scheme and a secondary aim of becoming a resource for those affected by the Wellman pension problems or through any “pension thefts”. The Wellman Pension fund has recently been wound up leaving the pension holders-who only months before had been told that they would be getting their full pensions-with no pensons at all.
