Innovative Future Web Design

I’ve been busy working on the latest project-though I’ll admit it went live some time ago but we’ve been tweaking it and I’ve been testing out some products for other personal projects in the pipeline.

Rive Music.com is a brochure site to promote Jane Coulcher, a respected flautist and harpist, to the wedding and events markets. A previous incarnation of

the site built solely using Flash,by another designer, had served a purpose but had disappointing ‘hit’ and conversion rates with very little Search Engine marketing. It was also felt that it did not reflect Jane’s colours, style and image adequately and so Jane decided to take on Innovative Future Web Design to completely re-design and re-launch the site to reflect her image, style and it’s search engine positioning.

There were also a number of issues with the domain management and hosting which Jane needed addressing which we were more than happy to take on at no extra cost other than those levied by the domain registration authorities.

Utilising XHTML, CSS and PHP to meet Jane’s exacting standards the new site now reflects Jane’s style and has been marketed to the Search Engines. However at the time of writing it’s ranking is still being ascertained and adjusted.

It was felt that it was important that the site integrated samples of some of Jane’s playing

A flash player was also embedded on the site as it an important motivator to help visitors to make their decision of music for their wedding/event would be hearing samples of Jane’s music. Though this does have some effects on the sites accessibility I believe we have managed to integrate it with the minimum impact for “screen readers” and those with disabilities.
