It’s the season of goodwill and giving so Joomlashack is holding a competition for their customers and visitors to their site to nominate a charity an eligible charity to win a free Joomlashack Custom Website or US$1000 cash. I’m sure people would tell me not to promote other web designers but in the spirit of the competition, the season and the open source community which Joomla is part of I have to give this gesture a mention.

The 5 finalists will be announced on Joomlashack.com where customers and visitors will be able to donate directly and vote to pick the most deserving charity.

Nominations will be accepted until Midnight (GMT) on December 29th.

It may be in the US but the world is a smaller place with the internet so that shouldn’t matter though let’s hope that exchange rates perk up by the time the winner is announced. Please support a local charity and go to Charity starts at Joomlashack, give your local charity a vote and spread the word to your friends.

The cynical may say it’s a good marketing and SEO ploy but if a charity benefits then I’m happy. Great gesture Joomlashack.
